“多彩中华”，是中国民族博物馆在国家民委领导下，精心打造的以全面展示中国民族服饰文化为内容的重点文化项目，被誉为中国民族文化的一支奇葩，曾多次走出国门，在国际社会产生了广泛影响。服饰是民族的外部形象徽志，是物质文化和精神文化的综合体。中国56个民族的服饰各具特色，款式繁多，造型独特，工艺精湛，色彩绚丽，是世界文化艺术宝库中的瑰宝。“多彩中华”以动静结合的方式，立体展示了中国多姿多彩的民族服饰艺术和原汁原味的民族风情，体现了中国各民族团结和睦、繁荣发展的时代主题，折射出中华民族五千年灿烂文明的深厚底蕴和多元文化的巨大魅力。
