Girls wearing Ming and Tang dynasty style walking in the metro station is the amazing thing nowadays, however things were different three years ago when they’re spy-walking in downtown Guangzhou with a ming style silk robe.
“People will ask why you wearing Korea Hanbok or Japanese kimono or simply ask are u making films . I really felt bad.”
Baishange(name) and friends who have the same interest in fashion founded the first Chinese Han clothing club in Guangzhou. Miss Tang is now the president of the club. She said that Han Chinese clothing dates back to the mythical times and varied in different dynasties, but some principles remain unchaged.
“lapping the right collar over the left so as to form part of the square and making the scarf circle represents circular heaven and square earth which was ancient Chinese belief. At the back of each piece of cloth, there is a mid-line. It runs through the whole dress and represents a traditional Chinese morality that is integrity.”
Each year the club organizing about 30 Han Chinese clothing display activities in Guangzhou. Most of them are arrange on traditional Chinese festivals, such as spring and mid-autumn festivals.
“With so many people wearing the traditional Han Chinese cloths and walking along the street of old style, it feels like I’m going back to the ancient times. But actually I was told that this is not only for the sake of beauty, but a way of rejuvenating a traditional Chinese spirit.”
“Previously my ethnicity exists only on my I.D. cards. Now I have a clear vision of Han’s culture, which was represented by our language and dresses.”

现在再在地铁站看到着明式、唐式服装的女孩，着实令众人心旷神怡。然而三年前的情况并不一样。那时，迫于世俗的压力，女孩们要穿明式袄裙逛趟市中心，都得和做贼一样。
（白桑儿：）“人们通常会问：‘你穿的是不是韩服？’”，“要不然就是‘你穿的是和服吗？’”“或者干脆说：“你是不是拍电影的？”“碰到那种情况，我真的不知该说什么。我什么都说不出了。”
（-_-|||播音员：）白桑儿和志同道合的朋友们在广州成立了第一个汉服协会。糖糖现在是会长。糖糖说，汉服历史悠久，上至三皇五帝后至明，历经神话时代、众多历史时期，但是，汉服的特征从来没有变。
交领、右衽的形态构成汉服的基本特征，它反映了中国古人“天圆地方”的理念。衣服的背部都有中缝。中缝贯穿全身，寓意是做人要诚实守信。这同样反映了中国传统道德观念。
每年，白桑儿的汉服协会都会在广州举办30次左右的汉服活动。活动时，多半是诸如春节和中秋之类的中国传统节日。
（广州电视台记者：）“越来越多的人穿上汉服，行走于老街旧巷，这让我仿佛回到古代。其实，这不仅仅是对美的追求，更是对传统中国精神的振兴。”
“从前，我的民族只是身份证上一个迷糊的符号；现在，我对于汉文化有了明确的感知，一种由汉语、汉服构造的感知。”
